Christian Gabriel Foster was born July 5, 1996 to James Foster and Debra Barto in Everett, Washington. He went to be with the Lord and his Mom, on November 20, 2021. Christian was a member of the Tulalip Tribes and Klamath, Modoc, Paiute – Yahooksin Band of Snake Indians. He lived on the Tulalip Reservation his entire life.

Christian loved spending time with his family and friends and always seen the best in people. He always had a positive outlook on life. He influenced and inspired many others to keep trying and never give up. He had a loving, carefree and kind soul. Christian loved being an uncle and his nieces and nephews adored and looked up to him. He was always happy with a huge smile and had contagious vibes that made everyone around him bee better. Christian was adventurous at very a young age. He had no fear when it came to trying something new. He learned how to ride a bike without training wheels when he was only two years old. Christian became interested in skateboarding and it grew into a passion that continued into adulthood. He traveled to many skate parks up and down the West Coast. His skills in skateboarding and snowboarding were natural to him. Some of his favorite times were when he was outdoors traveling at the river and gaming “Fort Nite & Chill”.. Christian loved animals and his culture. He loved all music, especially bumpin’ Mac Dre and Christian “Triz” walking. He was so humorous, always ready for a good laugh. He found peace and comfort in chasing sunsets. Bee Strong, Bee Love, Bee Kind, Bee Compassionate – Christian Gabriel Foster, we will always bee missing you.

Christian is survived by his Dad, James Foster; Grandmothers, Nadene Foster and Linda Hill; Siblings Heather (Kris), Shane, Travis, Rayvin (Jessica), Clara (Juan); Nephews and nieces, Cory, Keegan, Jazmyn, Tahlia, Makenna, Kyleal and Immanuel; the Love of his life, Keryn Parks and also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Barto; Grandfathers, Robert Barto and Patrick “Pat the Cat” Foster; Uncle Ambrose Foster; Cousin, Gia Foster.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Tulalip Gym. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

June 21, 1963 – October 15, 2021

Reuben Reeves was born June 21, 1963 and greeted by our Creator and ancestors on October 15, 2021.
In his early career he worked as a poker dealer. He was a lifelong fisherman, hung net for all, enjoyed wood cutting and delivering it to the smokehouse and elders. He was a mechanic for boats, autos, and heavy equipment. Reuben loved working at Boom City during the summer and running concession stands with his “Indian BBQ”. Reuben shared all his teaching with his grandson Wakiza, who he treated like his son. 

Reuben a loving father, brother, grandfather, and dear friend, was joined on the next part of his journey by his father, Bernard Williams Jr.; mother Esther Reeves; grandparents Thomas A. Reeves and Vivian E. (Babe) Shelton Reeves; sister, Ellen Rose Reeves; uncles, George A. Reeves Sr., Conrad C. (Gubber) Reeves Sr. and Willard Reeves; and Aunts, Wilma Reeves, Frances I. Reeves Contraro, Lila B. Reeves Henry. Mother of his children Luwanna Brewster and daughter Rachel Brewster.

He leaves behind his loving family, brother Lyle W. Reeves, daughters Chandra L. Reeves and Teah M. Reeves. Son David Brewster. Siblings Rose, Francis, JoAnn. Grandchildren Aleesia, Wakiza (Kaylee), Teallah, Jamora, Florence, Eliki, Eliana, Jaidiah, Mercy, Amelia, and great-granddaughter on the way. He loved spending time with his family and grandbabies, he went to see them every day. He will be missed by many.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville.

June 21, 2021 – October 11, 2021

Amias Lionheart Calloway, 3 months 19 days passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2021 in Everett, WA. He was born on June 21st, 2021 in Mount Vernon, WA.

He is survived by his mother; Shyla Lynne Calloway, father; Aaron Justin Calloway, sister; Shahayla Waffle(20), brothers; Carmine Cultee (7), Eyani Calloway (3), Cedar Calloway (2), maternal grandmother; Yvonne Dziubak, paternal grandfather; Max McGee, maternal great grandmother; Tina Meeker, maternal great grandfather; Randall Isaksson, Mammy; Becky Reaves, Aunt; Stephine Woodward, Uncle; Jeremiah Isakasson, Uncle; Jacob Cultee, Uncle; Jonathan Cultee Imholt, Aunt; Rachay Imholt, Aunt; Ashley Imholt, Uncle; Skyler Imholt, Aunt; Megan McGee, Aunt; Courtney Banks, Uncle; Steven McMahon, Aunt; Angie Ancheta, Aunt; Rachel Shepard, Aunt; Laura Reyes, Aunt; Isabelle Brennan. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother; Heidi Calloway, maternal grandfather Joe Imholt, Aunt; Brittany McGee, Aunt; Trease Calloway, Uncle; Jonathan McClellan, Uncle; Anthony McMahon, Aunt; Alexandria Cole.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

October 16, 1986 – February 26, 2020

Kyle was born into this world to Janice & Keith at the University of Washington Hospital, Kyle passed peacefully in the care of Queens Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii where Kyle, like his beloved mother always enjoyed to travel together. It was their second home, and Kyle enjoyed living his life there.

Kyle was charming, beautiful in kindness, in helping others, in bonding friendships and was a joy to all that knew him. From birth, Kyle was a ‘Brave Warrior’, in fighting many challenges of Life. Being born with Spina Bifida, he had many health challenges he faced in life, but that didn’t deter him for who he was and what he believed in. In his youth, along with his Big-Brother Bruce, we enjoyed many special memories of representing Marysville Special Olympics. Kyle loved swimming in which he won State Gold Medal.

As a graduate, class of 2005 Marysville-Pilchuck. Kyle, along with fellow classmates, friends, honored, protected the true essence of Native cultural beliefs and shared his culture to anyone that was willing. Kyle, along with his brother Bruce, always enjoyed being at and helping out at the Tulalip Boys & Girls Club, and working and helping out at the family owned Carr’s Hardware and with his beloved mother at Orca Travel.

Kyles other passion was his love of the sea where he loved to commercial fish with his father when plenty of Sockeye & Chum, Salmon caught. Season’s that were once were and beautiful memories of the Canoe Journey’s he participated.

On behalf of the Scott/Williams Family we wish to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Native Liaisons, Teachers, Staff that were a big part of his life and his care.

 July 31, 1961 – August 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our mom, grandma, wife, sister, friend; Donna Jean Houle (Bill). Donna was born July 31, 1961 in Bellingham WA to Joe and Geri Bill and went to be with the creator on August 27, 2021.

She was outgoing and athletic with a strong personality she always had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many she will truly be missed by all who knew her.  In her younger years she lived in Lummi. She then went to graduate from Chemawa Indian school; later moved to Tulalip and attended Everett Community College, 

Tulalip is also where she started her family, where her 3 children were born. As a family they lived both in North Dakota and Tulalip. She was always connected to the land, and taught her kids to pray to the land and water wherever their travels took them. Donna was a part of the Smokehouse and baptized in Catholic Faith. Growing up she loved to travel to play baseball, war canoe race, attend powwows. Donna also enjoyed listening to music, singing and dancing; cooking; Seahawks football (but was especially proud of her brother JB, & her grandson Theron’s skills). Donna carried a deep respect and honor for her culture. She carried cultural knowledge, songs and language in which shared with her children and grandchildren. She was the most proud mom and grandma and loved all her babies with all her heart.

She is survived by her husband Darrell Houle, their children Derek (Keisha), Domonique, Dylan (Tenika); grandchildren Demi, LaKayla, Derek (son), Jackson, Theron, Dylan Rose, Hunter and Kylo; Siblings Inez, Jolene, Brian and Kristy. She is reunited in heaven with her son Baby Boy Houle; parents Joe and Geri Bill; siblings Joe, Kathy and Mariam. 

Services will be held Saturday September 4, 2021 at the Tulalip Gymnasium at 10:00 AM. 
She will be laid to rest at Mission Beach Cemetery, Tulalip WA. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

September 10, 1948 – August 25, 2021

Caroline Marie Glendale who resided on Tulalip Reservation passed on 8.25.2021, peacefully in her sleep with Guardian Angels around her in Everett, Washington. Caroline Marie Enick Glendale was born on September 10, 1948 in Mount Vernon, Washington. 

She went to school in Wapato Washington. During her earlier years in life she played league pool and won championship with many friends from the Tulalip area. She also did some cosmetology classes with Evergreen Beauty School, but later decided she was skilled enough and quit. Yes, a Beauty school drop out! Caroline worked many years at the Tulalip Resort & Snoqualmie Casino Food and Beverage Departments. As she progressed in her life she was always under a biblical teaching of her parents James and Evelyn Enick. At a very young age she was a born singer that turned into a ministry in the Pentecostal church. During her time of travelling with her parents she led worship service and her brothers Braddock and Johnny Enick would play guitar for her. The power of God would fall on her through her singing and many would feel the presence in the room. She would witness and minister on the streets of Wapato and their local radio station about the love of the lord with her dad. She would go to local prisons and minister to inmate of what the lord could do for them. She travelled to many states like Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, New Mexico and Arizona, and into Canada spreading the good word of the Lord. On some of these revival travels she would bring the Sweet Melodies that was her nieces and nephew!

Through this life she has created many friends and grew her family whom she loved and always had prayer chains on her FB account or text messages. This will be missed.
Caroline is preceded in death by, her parents James & Evelyn Enick, her husband Isaac Glendale of Alert Bay, BC., sister Betty Jean Joe (Robert), brothers Jerry, Brad & John Enick, Brother in Law Adrian Henry, Sr., nephews Roger Enick, James M Enick, Robbie & Arron Garcia, niece Ami Pablo.

Caroline is survived by her Sisters Arlene (David) Ventura, Winifred Enick, Sandra (Percy) Phillips, Jr., Cheryl Enick-Tovar(Dan) Marilyn Henry eldest daughter Jolene (Steven) Williams, Son Brian K Jack, Sr., youngest daughter Melinda Enick, Granddaughters Rebecca Wadhams(Jon Stevens), Jaida Maltos (Jordan Wasko Sr.) Lachelle Tracy, Saige Williams, and Shylaya Jack, Grandsons Jordan Wadhams, Brian ER Jack Jr., Alva Damien, Steven & Michael Williams, Chaanc Guzman, Mannassah Losik, Michael Tracy Jr., Toren Jack, great grand children Janessa, Joshua, Justice, Jewels, Ariella, Camaya, Penelope, and Jordan Jr (Bubba) God daughters, Julia Bruce, Mary Wadhams, Elizabeth Joseph (Lil Bit). And the Sweet Melodies! Many nephews, nieces and cousins. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, WA. The funeral service will follow from 10:00 AM – Noon. Burial will be at Fall City Cemetery in Fall City, WA.

March 11, 1994 – August 4, 2021

Sundance was a Tulalip Tribal Member on his mother’s side of the family but also had roots in the Navajo Nation where his father was an enrolled member. He had become a member of the Smokehouse on January 25, 2009. His employment was the Stanwood Dollar Tree. He enjoyed disc golfing, drawing, swimming, beading medallions, gambling, traveling, and spending time with his brothers, family and his children. Sundance leaves behind his mother JoAnn Begay (Landry Lawrence), his brothers Myron Begay Jr., Nathan Begay, Jayson Tsoodle, Daniel Begay, Eagle Begay, and Sean Lawrence. He also leaves behind his children Patricia Begay, Sundance Begay Jr., Jordan Begay. Arrangements by TTT and Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Limited family visitation at the home of the grandmother Judi Patrick at Tulalip, WA on the afternoon of August 10, 2021 with services at the Tulalip Tribal Gym on the morning of August 11, 2021 at 10:00am with his final resting place to be at Mission Cemetery also of Tulalip Washington. Officiating and speaking will be by Clayton Horne and Jobey Williams, respectively. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory at the Tulalip Tribal Gym and cemetery.

It saddens us all to announce that our son, Charlie Joe Cortez, (29) died tragically on November 17, 2020, while on Patrol in the waters near Hat Island and Jetty Island. Charlie’s Patrol boat capsized after being struck by a wave during gale warning weather conditions.  

 Charlie was working for the Tulalip Police Department as a Fish and Wildlife/Search and Rescue Officer when the accident occurred that left him Lost At Sea.    Tulalip was Charlie’s Home where he was born and where he grew up.  Charlie worked tirelessly and gave it his all every day and when answering his final call to duty as an officer for Tulalip.  

 Charlie had many passions during his lifetime.  Everything he did, he did with passion and determination to be successful.   As a child, he grew up with the “Moto-Cross Community” He loved racing and seeing his friends, during our countless travels to various Tracks in the Pacific Northwest.  He was an accomplished Motocross racer, achieving numerous trophies and championship standings when racing various Moto-Cross events.  

 Later, Charlie’s passion turned to hunting.  Ask anyone who hunted with him and they would tell you hunting season was what he talked about the most.  He was successful as a hunter in the community and was requested many times as a designated hunter for ceremonial hunting; or, as needed for Members of the Tribe who requested a designated hunter.  During hunting season, Charlie was ALWAYS just a phone call away for any Hunter who needed help packing or loading their Game.  

         Charlie also ventured into Commercial Diving for Geoduck. He trained endlessly to enable himself to be proficient with his crate numbers as a diver.  He would joke around, at times, with other Divers when they would return to the Marina, knowing he had one of the highest crate counts for that day.  

         Charlie loved spending time in the mountains, in the woods, in the water, and with his many friends; but, most of all… he loved spending time with his family and his precious children who were his pride and joy.  Dominic Cortez “his mini me” is the hunter and the fisher and Peyton Cortez   “his little princess” who is not afraid of snakes or touching worms.  Charlie loved spending time with the family during every Holiday, Birthday and picnic Barbecues.  He never missed a gathering with family.  

         Charlie was born on May 28^th 1991 in Everett, WA.  He was a proud descendent of Charles Jules, hereditary Chief of the Snohomish Tribe, and he was a member of The Tulalip Tribes. He was the son of Alan K. Cortez and Paula A. Cortez and resided all his life in the Tulalip Community.  He was employed with The Tulalip Tribes for 12 years and worked in Departments such as; Wildlife Enhancement, The Tulalip Marina, and his final position was as a Police Officer with the Tulalip Police Department Fish and Wildlife/ Search and Rescue Division. He was a graduate of Marysville Pilchuck High School and furthered his studies by attending and graduating from the United States Indian Police Academy with the Cadet Class of 168 on May 3, 2019, with top honors in the Driver Training courses.  

         Charlie will be missed everyday by his parents Alan  and Paula Cortez,  son, Dominic Cortez, daughter, Peyton Cortez, his Big Brother, Richard “Moochie” Grenier-Cortez, Grandmother, Sandra Grenier, Aunties, Teri Nelson, Vicki Jablonski, Rhonda Olson, and Ronnie Lyons, Uncles, John Cortez, Wayne Cortez, Rick Lyons, and Randy Lyons, his Grandfather Alvin Lyons, his Cousins, Kayla Scheiber and spouse Brandon, Casey Woods and her partner Andrew, Caleb Woods and Cassandra Grenier, his former spouse and Mother to his beautiful children, Tawnya Stout and her spouse Chris, and Tawnya’s special sister Kari Baggarley. 

         Charlie will also be missed daily by  His special life long friend, Beau Jess, and his special Hunting Buddies Tino Villlaluz, Brady Johnson, and Zac Parks, his Brothers in Blue within the Tulalip Police Department, and all other hunting and fishing buddies.

Charlie was preceded in death by his grandfather “Saapa” Richard J. Grenier, Uncle Ed Nelson, Uncle Bill Grenier, Grandmother Beverly Lyons and Shirley Gobin Zackuse and Great Grandma Ann Reft.  

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for August 17^th, 2021 at The Everett Events Center, “Angel of the Winds” 

March 15, 1943 – July 29, 2021

Born March 15 1943 in Tulalip Washington to Harold and Charlotte Paul. Went on her wonderful journey July 29, 2021

She had a wonderful gift of making everyone happy in her long beautiful life.

Worked many years at Mink farm, Everett Post Office, Bingo kitchen, Smelting, fishing, Cooking ‘mama Buffalo for smokehouse and events and most amazing bread maker. She loved traveling, holidays, flower gardens with all her family. Riding on the boat with her son Lance. Life long boyfriend/friend ex hubby soul mate- “jerk” Arley Williams. Her connection with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed great great grandchildren kept her every day sunny She is proceeded in death by her parents Harold & Charlotte Paul, Amaya Williams, Jonny ‘Bam’Oj Cavanaugh, younger brother, Sisters Janice (Gilbert Sr) Moses, Clarice (Alvin Sr.) Moses, and special dog-Daisy May She travels ahead of Life Partner-Arley Williams, Daughters Charlotte (Kevin) Williams, Janet (George) Williams, Lance (Cindy) Williams, Gail Williams Very special Grandson Nick Edelman, Rheanna Edelman, Charles Sportsman, Fitzgerald ‘Wyatt Rutledge, William Vernon Hunter, Meleena, Shylescha Craig, Shawna (Teddy), Brett, Christopher Williams, Sharrissa Enick, Benny, Tahnee & Jeremy Hammons, Stahawnee, Julene, Casey Williams many grand children, great grand children Cousins and family in our community

January 22, 1963 – July 25, 2021

Mike was born, on Jan. 22, 1963 in Everett WA. He was a loving caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching sports but loved baseball, he like to travel to stick games, and being an auntie slayer. He had fun going to the casinos, he also enjoyed going out to eat, and pulling canoe. He worked at the Bingo Hall, Fish Hatchery, Boom City, AAA, TDS, QCV Maintenance 

He leaves behind children: Michael (Crystal) Monger, Christopher (Heidi) Enick, Dakota (Darla) Monger, David Enick, Andrew Enick Siblings: G. John Enick Jr., Gene Enick, Lynne & John Salem, Harold (Law) Enick, Howie Enick. Aunties and Uncles: Phyllis Enick, Georgina Enick, Connie White, Franny Ike, Darrell Enoch, William Williams Jr. Irene Daniels Grandchildren: Larnell, Martel, Emily, Champ, Albert, Keiden, Keira, Ily, Alisyanna, Kayleena He enters in to heaven with Siblings: Clifford Enick, Darrel Enick, and Delores Moses, Parents: Louie & Maryanne Moses, Gerald Enick Sr. Grandparents: William Williams Sr. Ramona Clara Williams Nephews Johnny Enick, & Toby Enick Aunty Pat Williams-Sheldon.
