May 4, 1959 – June 7, 2021

Carolyn Rose Moses (Setlakus/Lalacut) was born May 4, 1959 in Powell River, B.C. She was a descendant of Hereditary Chief Johnny Dominick of Klahoose Nation, B.C., and Hereditary Chief Charles Jules of Tulalip. Daughter of William Grenier Jr. (Gladys Grenier) and Elizabeth Harry (Pete Harry). Carolyn spent her childhood years in Sliammon Territory but settled in Tulalip where she married her soul mate Kenneth Moses Jr. on July 16, 1983. Carolyn and Kenneth were married for 28 years and raised two children together, Craig Grenier Moses and Autumnrose Moses.

Carolyn was a residential school survivor and a true warrior for her people. She was a proud Coast Salish woman and spent her life in service to her people. She began in the kitchen cooking for tribal elders, then transferred over to family services where she spent over 20 years helping members of the community. Carolyn advocated for women, children, worked tirelessly helping many people find sobriety, and helped many in their journey along the red road. She wanted people to feel good about themselves and was often heard encouraging someone. She would say “I’m proud of you…you’re doing good.” Carolyn believed in her teachings and had a gift for knowing everyone. She could name every tribal member’s family and many of their relatives going back several generations. She spent 16 years serving on the enrollment committee and used her gifts to help enroll many tribal members and their relatives.

Carolyn had a infectious laugh and a joyful presence that could not be denied and she lit up the room when she walked in. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and lunch with her friends.

Carolyn is survived by her brothers, Murray (Nancy) Mitchell, Leonard (Cathy) Harry, Darryl Wilson, and Laurie (Teresa) Harry; sisters Lillian (Rob) Grenier, Tina (Patrick) Grenier, Toni (Arthur) Grenier, and Sandra (Stan) Harry; and her two children Craig (Florence) Grenier Moses, and Autumnrose (Anthony Enriqurez) Moses. She had eleven grandchildren, Kaeli, Garrett, Gracelyn, Ethan, Liam, Mayah, Cid, Amilio, Benny, James, and Carlos. She was loved by many and was a grandmother, aunt and cousin to numerous individuals in the community.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Tulalip Gathering Hall with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

September 11, 1981 – June 5, 2021

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Warren Michael Moses, beloved son, grandson, father, brother, nephew and cousin. Warren went to be with our dear Lord on June 5, 2021 with his loving grandmother and mother by his side.

He was born on September 11, 1981 to Robert (Bebop) Moses Jr. and Kim Bustamante. Warren and his brothers were raised by his wonderful grandmother Johanna Moses and auntie in Tulalip after their father passed away. Warren was a Tulalip Tribal Member. He graduated from Marysville Pilchuck High School in 2000, and continued his education at Haskell University. He was very loving and sweet, a gentleman with a beautiful personality. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially his Seahawks. Warren was extremely gifted in music. He was the life of the party. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A star gone to soon.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bebop) Moses Jr.; grandfather, Robert Moses Sr.; Great Grandparents, Marya Jones Moses and Walter Moses Sr., Albert and Annie Moses. He leaves behind his son, Ira Moses-Snyder; grandmother, Johanna Moses; mother, Kim Bustamante; siblings, Athena Moses (Rob), Aimee Moses, Lorne Moses and Blake Moses; His nieces and nephews, Tianna Moses, Kiera Moses, D?sean Moses, Kathryn Elliott, Kohen, Kaine, KamBrea, Kendalyn and Kwynn Moses; Great niece Aaliyah-Camari Downing, former wife dear to his heart, Kimberly Moses along with her children, Austin Bercier, Marissa Bercier, Kaitlin Murray and Victoria Murray; and her grandchildren, Hunter Wilson and Lilliana Baker; Uncles, Jon Moses Sr, Anthony Moses Sr, Aaron Moses Sr, William Moses and most adored auntie Anna Moses; Uncles, Marvin, Benjamin, Allen Burchell; Aunt, Rachel Proper; as well as several cousins, friends, and family.

January 3, 1937 – April 19, 2021

Darlene Cathryn Grayloe/Wowyah was born in Tacoma, Washington to Edward and Dalia Loney/Jasolitza Jimicum January 3rd, 1937.
Her parents; siblings: George Craig, Eddie Loney, Frank Madison, & Etta Jones. Son: Anthony Lamont Osias, Granddaughter: Latosha Osias and 3 husbands: Patrick Grace, Elliott Grayloe, Don Osias welcome her to the spirit world. 
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Inez/Rainai Jimicum Hancock, Laurie & Nina Osias; 2 sons Kelly & Casey Grace; Grandchildren: Morena Lopez, Juanita Chabolla, Teesha, Tara & Lakea Osias, Anthony Bob, Patrick, Grace, Destiny, & Faith Osias, plus numerous great-grandchildren, best friend Michael Nickelson, & family members & friends who love her. 
She was a berry picker from way back, with her grandmother Theresa Wyakes and mother taught her children the fine art, good hard work ethics & togetherness. Her entrepreneural skills were displayed in her businesses including Swanson’s Antique furniture & refinishing stores in Snohomish, Emporium in Everett & Las Vegas. She was a pow-wow vendor & Bag Lady at Boom City. 
She loved to travel & visit different casinos from northern WA Tribes to Nevada and Arizona and traveled as far as Germany to see family. The SW desert always called to her. Her interests included dancing and she actually taught belly dancing, was a trophy winning racer in Go Kart, Motorcycle, & stock car metes, & tried an acting career at one time.
She grew up without a lot of material things and experienced homelessness for a time, but she was RICH in LOVE for family & friends. She would make great sacrifices for us and was willing to help people when they needed her. 
She left us April 19, 2021, but her fire and her love is with us forever. We will remember her laugh and her free spirit.

May 18, 1964 – April 7, 2021

Merle Allen Hayes III was born May 18,1964 in Everett, WA. To April (Moses) Smith and Merle Hayes Jr. and passed away unexpectedly April 7, 2021. 
He was a special man that loved Commercial fishing and being out on the water, hunting and the outdoors. His children were blessed that they were able to work beside him and will cherish the teachings he passed down to them. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, he loved being their “Papa”
He is survived by his children Vanessa Hayes, Daniel McLean, Merle Hayes IV (Selena), Christina Hayes(Dennis), Shyanne Hayes, Dakota Hayes(Savannah), Alice Abuan-Hayes, Jose Rocha jr., Mother of his Children Carrie(Lonnie)Enick, grandkids Aaliyah McLean, Shaneah McLean, Noah McLean, Layla Hayes, Merle Hayes 5th, Jacob Hayes, Mckenzy Hayes, Lexi Hayes, Josiah Hayes, Bentley Hayes, Olivia Reeves, mother April (Marvin), father Merle, sisters Bernadette”Bernie” Abuan, Holiday Hayes, Bonita (Jacob) Palafox, Mia (Alex) Bennington, Elaina (Poo) Hayes, Paulette Smith, several aunts., uncles cousins and friends. 
He is preceded in death by baby Hayes, brothers Wade Abuan, Carnegie Hayes, sisters Tamara “Tammy” Hayes, Carol Hayes, cousins Mark Moses and Victor Moses, Nieces Sophia Solomon, Victoria Russell, grand babies Julian McLean and Logan McLean. 
Now he can soar with the Eagles like he told his children he wanted too, fly high Dad…
He was truly loved and will be missed by many…

February 7, 1967 – April 9, 2021

A Tulalip Tribal Member Gina Taylor left us unexpectedly and too soon on Friday April 9th, 2021 with family around her at Astria Sunnyside Hospital to send her on her journey. Gina was born Tuesday Feb. 7th 1967 in Everett, WA. To Dallas Taylor Jr. and Edna (Sam) Taylor. Many will remember Gina as that one to call if you needed any help with anything. She never called you a friend she called you her family no matter who you were. Gina enjoyed helping various people beading earings & necklaces, playing pool, traveling to Casinos, couldn’t go a day without her scratch tickets also babysitting her grandbabies when she could. Fond memories of trail riding their horses with her 3 siblings up to Cooke Canyon in Ellensburg, WA. 

She is survived by her life partner Chris Robledo, beloved sisters Elizabeth Taylor (Billie Boling) Sally Taylor Tilley (caretaker/Son Travis Leroy Tilley Jr.) only brother left Harold Taylor. Children (Angela Eastman) Aiden Alek, JJ Aleck, Aspen Aleck, Josey Thompson, (Sheena Eastman), Messiah Salway, Walter Wyman, Madison Wyman, (Jack Dallas Taylor), Nathan Peterson,( Tyler Jones), Loran Short, Quinton short, Ryker Jones-Short, (Chochise Taylor Herrod), Dawsyn Herrod,( William ‘Shane’ Herrod), (Tanika A. Taylor), Emerson W. Taylor. Lots of Nieces and Nephews that she loved dearly. Many friends from many places including her lifelong friends Kathy, Allen, Rena, Jack, Penny LaFollette, Jonathan Herrod and Ex-Spouse Russell Eastman. 
Precede in death by mother Edna (Sam) Taylor, father Dallas Taylor Jr. brother Walter Taylor, brother and sister Virgil and Virginia, Brother-in-law Travis Tilley Sr. nephew Sidney Taylor, Dad Keith Weeks, Mom Virginia (Taylor) Weeks her best friend of many years ‘Choochi’ Susan Spino.

April 1, 1956 – March 14, 2021

Linda Lee Marie Zackuse was born April 1st,1956 in St. Iqnatius Montana to Steve and Mary Lou (McDonald) Howlett She went to join her relative’s on March 14th, 2021. Linda enjoyed playing bingo, calling bingo, cooking, holidays, traveling to Montana and La Conner to see her brothers,sister and other relative’s, She was also a stay at home mom and raised her children and her grandchildren, also baptize in the Catholic church, Graduated from the Chilocco boarding School.
She is survived by her husband Billy Zackuse, her children Lanada and BillyJo Howlett and Willie Zackuse. Brother Kevin and Sister Jamie and Her grandchildren Alex (Rachelle), Caitlin, Brandie, Brandon, Briana, Steven, Antonio, Aaliyah, Lola, Roico, Oscar, Paula, Hillary and numerous Nieces,Nephews and cousins. She is Preceded in Death by her Parents, Brothers Jack, Danny and Mathew, Daughters Lydia and Ruth.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Mission Beach Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.

August 4, 1999 – March 12, 2021

Her family will miss Tulalip Tribal Member, Theresa Joyce Williams. She leaves behind her parents Francis Williams Sr. & Karlene “Sugar” Bill, (her siblings) Francis Williams Jr., Raymeanus Williams, Teri Williams, Raelynn Williams, Sophelia Williams, Marilyn Williams, Thomas Williams, (her sons) Devin Joseph Moses Williams and Conrad (Preston) Topaum. Preceding her on her journey are Mary Bill, Cliff Enick, Gloria George, Dee Bill, Daniel Patrick, and special aunt Leanne Enick. Limited family visitation at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville WA on 3/18/2021 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Burial will follow at 11:30 am at Mission Beach Cemetery at Tulalip WA.

January 24, 1961 – March 12, 2021

Born to Glen Oswald Boehme Jr and Rosalyn J. Fryberg on January 24, 1961 in Tacoma, Washington, Dave went home to be with the ancestors on March 12, 2021 surrounded by family in love and prayer.

Dave graduated from High School in 1977; he served in the Army for Six years, worked many years for Columbia Plywood in Klamath Falls Oregon before moving home to Tulalip. He loved his Harleys and his Harley family. He was married to Cindy Zumalt, together they have one child Amber Marie Boehme (Gibbs). He leaves behind seven children, 13 grandchildren, He loved hunting, fishing, camping and music/concerts with family, and friends. 
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Glen O. Boehme (Pappy) and Alice Boehme; Parents, Bud Boehme and Rosalyn (Tootsie) Fryberg; Stepdad Gerald Fryberg Sr.; Brother Melvin Boehme; Aunts and Uncles – Dave, Mary Francis, Peggy, Drucilla (Druci), Juanita (Tee) and Jimmy; Nephew Christopher Boehme; Cousin Dennis Grover.

He is survived by his daughters Amber (Robbie) Gibbs (Mom Cindy Zumalt), Marie Profitt, Nicole Dahl, Brendal Hamlin; Jeanette Claridge, Son Elliot Claridge (Mom Vicki Bankston); Naquoa Shuey (Mom Rene Randall); stepmom Betty Boehme; step mom Sammy Kay Fryberg; sisters, Lena Hammons, Elizabeth Vosika (Randy Vosika), Annie Boehme, Lisa Severn (Tal Severn); Gail Pape, Diane Glascoe. Cousin Rhonda (Bean) Ishmael.

Special People – Rachel Bennett, Lisa May Fryberg, Tony Hatch and all of the Youth Services Team for always taking care of our brother. We love you all.

April 17, 1938 – March 10, 2021

Gilbert Eugene Moses Sr. was born April 17, 1938 in Tulalip, WA to Walter and Maria Moses. He worked at Welco Lumber Mill and the Tulalip Fish Hatchery. He was also a fisherman, he fished with is cousin Tom Gobin on the “Ladybug” until he got his own boat “The Four Winds”. He was a great hunter and loved going to the mountains, he also enjoyed spending time in his garage where he worked on all his own vehicles and was a self taught mechanic. He was married to his late mate Elaine Janice Moses for 62 years. He leaves behind his daughter Sylvia (Robert) Myers, grandchildren Crystal Myers, Paul Myers, Laura (Alex) Jimenez. Daughter Arnel (Alan) Williams, grandchildren Alan Jr Williams, Tiffany Williams, Dane Williams. Son Gilbert Moses Jr., grandson Gilbert Moses III, and numerous great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his wife Elaine Moses, daughter Nancy Moses, and parents Walter and Maria Moses.

Leanne Erica Enick TIS-TOP-L-TA-NOT was born, May 19, 1984 in Everett WA.
She went to be with the lord: March 4, 2021 in Tulalip WA

She was a loving caring mother, godmother, aunt, cousin, sister and daughter. She loved to travel, to stick games, summer and winter pow-wows, and on canoe journey. She enjoyed watching her fur grand babies and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She found joy in getting tattoos, crocheting and beading. She especially loved to watch her Seahawks play.

She attended school in Marysville, up to the 10th grade, and then moved on to complete her GED.
She worked at the Tulalip Bingo, Tulalip Resort and Casino, as maintenance, food and beverage, housekeeping. She also worked security for Boom City.

She leaves behind her children, Janet A.D. Enick-Sneatlum (DeMonte C. Wolf-John), Caitlin A. Sneatlum, Taleen N. Enick and Charles R. Sneatlum IV. Kia Pablo, June Moon Hill, Sundance Begay, Francis Williams Jr. RayMeanus Williams, Theresa Williams, and James Aguilar, Louie L.M. Williams Sr, Charles W. Williams, Mary Jane Moses, and Shirley M. Sneatlum. Grandchildren, Hazel, Xavier, ilena, izabell, Charley, Sheraylah, Penina, Avona, Levi, Kaiden, Octavia, Deaven, Preston, Albert.
Siblings, Alisa Youckton, Karlene Bill (Suga), Clinton Enick, John Enick (DBL J), Roman Enick, and Teri Enick-Walker. Her parents Janice Bill-Enick and Gerald John Enick Jr (Uncle2Feathers). Her one and only Goddaughter, Raelynn M. Williams. Numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

She enters in to rest with her: mate Charles R. Sneatlum III, Son Michael J.D. Sneatlum, Grandson Louie L.M. Williams Jr. & mother in-law Janet D. Patrick, father in-law Charles R. Sneatlum Jr., brother in-law Edward Sneatlum, Grandma Mary Bill, and her Fur babies Annabell, Peanut Sr., Biscuit, Momo, & her pet ferrets, and many other family, friends and loved ones.
