Anthony Jordan Craig (Tony) was born November 1,1986 to Melissa Ackerlund and George W. Craig III. He was tragically taken from us on February 5, 2020.

From the day that he was born he always had a smile on his face. He was the quiet and contemplative one and never caused us any grief as a child but as most teenagers go, he got into mischief and gave his mom a few grey hairs.

He leaves behind his son and his pride and joy, T’Rok Si’ab Craig, age 3. He leaves his mother, Melissa Ackerlund and her husband, Wayne, his sister Andrea Craig (Justin George), his brother, George Craig IV, step sisters Charity Ackerlund, Anna Jensen and step brother Isaiah Ackerlund. He leaves behind his father George W. Craig III (Janet), half sisters Jenevah, Maleena and Shylesha Craig and a special sister/cousin, Misty Craig. He also leaves behind his step-father Ron Hyatt who raised him from the age of 6, step sister & step brother, Joanna Uribe and Ben Hyatt. He has numerous nieces and nephews that will miss his spirit, joy and the fun they created together. Arrora Craig, Kydalynn Hoelzle and Jeramiah Johnson really looked up to him and admired his drive in life. He was the “favorite” uncle. He is leaving behind aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that are too numerous to list but he loved just the same. He will be missed by his grandmother, Carol Moser, who he kept a close eye on and stopped in on her frequently. She will miss those visits.

Tony has an extended family in Port Angeles (Lower Elwha and Jamestown Sk’llalam), Tulalip, Sedro Woolley and eastern Washington that will miss his infectious smile and his zest for life. Tony leaves behind some special lifelong friends that have had a profound effect on him forging his legacy in this life. Assunta Napoleon (his other mom), Tyler Rooker and Travis Hill. These boys were always into mischief from grade school through high school and kept “the moms” on their toes. Troy Fleck, who was like a brother to him and his California Fleck family. Joe Gonzalez, who was also like a brother to him and most times was the sound of reason or the one who kept him out of trouble (unless he was just so quiet and pulled the wool over our eyes). He has numerous other special friends that the list is too extensive but meant just as much to him. Tony has left our world to join his special auntie, Jimi Donnell-Townsend and his uncle Jeremy Boudrieau.

As an adult, Tony started using fitness and health as a positive way to overcome adversity and hurdles in his life. He had a dream and followed it. He became a personal trainer and opened his own gym on Tulalip and never looked back. He has been training for body building and weight lifting competitions and encouraging others in his “fitness” family to do the same. Through this tragedy I have found people in his fitness family that he has truly changed their lives. I will forever be grateful for the influence that he had on Cesar Santibanez, Marvin Velazquez, Bodhi Severns and others that have yet to introduce themselves. His family at Zone of Change Fitness will miss him. Carry on his fitness legacy in his honor, guys.

Tony was a Christian and found peace in his higher power. He will leave behind his “church/s” family (he loved so many different churches and could never pick just one to be part of his life). Even in death Tony enriched others lives. He was an organ donor and was able to give a gift to four others. Live on in them, Tony.

Tony never knew an enemy and tried to enrich anyone’s life who crossed his path. He saw the good in everyone and lifted spirits of each and every person who did cross his path. Carry on your legacy, Tony and watch over us. You have left a void in our hearts and we will miss you immensely. Your positive influence, your strength and your infectious smile will help us work through the pain and sadness that we all feel.

A celebration of Tony’s life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Tulalip Gym.

Franklin Alexander Cladoosby Jr. Franklin A. Cladoosby Jr., 64 of Lummi passed away on January 19, 2020. Frank was born on the Tulalip Indian Reservation and moved with his mother, where he grew up and lived for many years on the Lummi Indian Reservation, to be close to his children and family. He loved his three kids tremendously with his entire being. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren to no end. While enrolled up until his mid 40’s Frank loved to Commercial Fish, seasonally Sockeye Salmon, King Salmon, Chum Salmon, and Halibut. He loved to work on cars and help out others with their car troubles when he could. Frank is survived by his children, Joleine, Monica, Jasper (Denae’) Cladoosby; 15 grandchildren; 12 Great grandchildren; sisters, Tina Cladoosby-Solomon, Patricia Solomon, Tracy Olsen, April Olsen-James, and Lola Lee Lawton; brother, Troy Herman Olsen; and his Uncle Mike Cladoosby. A visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with an evening service at 6:00 pm at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Marilyn Diane Mclean Marilyn Diane McLean, 64 of Tulalip, WA passed away on January 14, 2020. She was born, March 29, 1955 in Everett, Washington to Daniel McLean Sr and Nora McLean. She loved gardening; cooking for people, giving to the food bank and gambling. Her cats were her kids. She worked as dealer at the Tulalip Casino and she worked on the fish processing boats in Alaska. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Daniel McLean Jr., William McLean Sr., Wilfred McLean; and sister, Louise McLean. She is survived by her brother, Milton McLean; sister, Eleanor McLean; sister-in-law, Jeannie McLean; nieces nephews and other relatives. An interfaith service will be held at Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:00 am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Kathryn A. Gogo Kathryn A. Gogo, 33, of Marysville, Washington passed away peacefully on January 8, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington. Born April 16, 1987 in San Jose, California to Sau S. Gogo and Anny Gogo. Kathryn is survived by her parents; her children, Rudolfo, J’Aliyah, Lucciano and Queeniyah with Rudolfo Flores Jr, of Tulalip, Washington. She was preceded in death by their eldest son, Damian Flores. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with an evening service to follow at 6:00 pm at the Tulalip Gym. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.

June 18, 1987 – January 9, 2020 Vanessa O’Day, 32, of Tulalip, WA was born June 18, 1987 to Patrick and Carmen O’Day. She passed away on January 9, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed caregiving for family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and had an awesome green thumb. She would teach everyone about gardening that was interested, loved to read and play games. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her niece. Susan and nephew. Jason. She was preceded in death by her grandma, Fran O’Day; Kiah Barbera Craig; papa, Alex Henry; aunties, Audrey Beck, Hazel Craig; cousin, Michael Oman; and uncle, Joe Aleck. She is survived by her parents, Patrick and Carmen; brothers, Jason and Brian; niece, Susan; and nephew, Jason; uncle, Chris O’Day; aunt, Nan York; uncle, George Craig; aunties, Leah and Charmaine; numerous cousins and friends. She was loved and will be greatly missed by many. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at the Mission Beach Cemetery.

Charles Michael “Chuck” James II Sept. 29, 1941 – Dec. 29, 2019 Charles James was born on September 29, 1941 to Charles and Marjorie James. He passed away on December 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He married the love of his life, Illene, in 1961 and shared 58 years together. Chuck worked for Bethlehem Steel until retirement in 2001; then went on to be the Chief Operating Officer of the Tulalip Resort Casino, his last position was a Tulalip Tribes Board Member. He loved sports. He and his wife have been Seahawks ticket holders since 1976. Chuck played and coached both basketball and baseball. He was a man of steel with his firm handshake, who could still do jump shots in his 70’s. He believed team sports taught life skills, working together to achieve goals and sharing in successes was winning. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Marcellus A. Chavez. He is survived by wife, Illene G. (Hatch) James; son, Charles James III; daughter, Charlene James (Ramon Johnny); grandchildren, Tristan James, Madison Johnny (Dennis), Lee Johnny, Maya Johnny-Chavez (Marcel); great-grandchildren, Annabell Lee Johnny, Maryanna Chavez; brothers, Leonard James and Mark James; many nieces and nephews he loved. Recitation of the Rosary was held Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Tulalip Gym. Funeral services will be Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at the Mission Beach Cemetery.

Brenda Moses, 58 of Tulalip, Washington passed away December 23, 2019. She was born November 8, 1961 in Everett, Washington to Alvin and Clarice Moses Sr. She worked at the Bingo Parlor and then at the casino as a table game dealer and pit boss. She enjoyed camping, going to the mountains and enjoyed family gatherings. She like to go blueberry and blackberry picking as well as boating. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Moses Sr.; brother, Alvin Moses Jr.; granddaughter, Adrea Elliott; grandson, Michael (Her baby) Brown III and uncle, Delbert Moses, and nephew, Jason Lee Moses. She is survived by her soulmate of 36 years, Tommy; four daughters, Athena (Rob), Aimee, Ateesha (Issac), her baby, Bridget (Nate); her mother, Clarice Moses; sister, Naomi; brother, Brian; grandchildren, Tianna, Alieja, Kyliah, Desean, Kiera, Kathryn, Makhaio, Miniyah; great granddaughter, Aaliyah-Camari; auntie Irene, Charlene, Janice; uncle Neil, as well as other aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The most important thing to her was spending time with her grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman with an Interfaith Service at 6:00 pm at the Tulalip Gym. Alvie (Al) Richard McCollum Nov. 30, 1937 – Dec. 11, 2019 Alvie (Al) Richard McCollum, 82 of Tulalip, WA, passed away December 11, 2019. He was born November 30, 1937 in San Fernando, CA to Alive and Cecilia McCollum. He owned his own machine shop in Marysville. He did concrete work for housing foundations and he moved homes. He was a commercial fisherman with his wife, Jean, and he worked for the Tulalip Tribes in logging maintenance and housing maintenance. He was a handyman for many in the community. He is survived by his children, Gary McCollum, Lisa (Lisa) Olver, Robert Fryberg, and Mary Oman; brother, Jess (Margie) McCollum; sister, Katherine Prater; grandchildren, David Charley, Joe Davis, Rocky Renecker, Riley Renecker, Colett Boualavanh, Kayla Pablo, Sharlo Pablo, Levi McCollum, Anthony Sanchez, Merrissa Sanchez; and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; son, Rocky (Leslie) Renecker; daughter, Shannon Edwards-Pablo; sisters-in-law, Janet McCloud and Marleen Myers; grandchildren, Louie Pablo III, and Byron McCollum. Franklyn P. Roff

Franklyn “Frank” P. Roff, 88 of Monroe, WA, passed away November 23, 2019. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 am at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, WA, with inurnment to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery, Tulalip, WA.

James D. (Jim) Adams James (Jim) Adams 65, passed away November 30, 2019 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington. Jim was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 29, 1954. Jim was preceded in death by his son, Chase R. Adams; mother, Mildred Adams, father, Eugene Adams; brother-in-law, Ray Ribaud and aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents on both sides of his family. He is survived by his wife, Ellene L. Adams and son, Jaret J. Adams; sister, Marcia Ribaud and brother, Mike Adams. Jim was an uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Both his mother and father’s families originated from Oklahoma state. Jim’s family moved to various states due to his fathers work for the Boeing Aeronautics company living in California, Louisiana and Washington where Jim met and married his wife of 40 years, Ellene and where both sons, Jaret and Chase, were born at Providence Hospital in Everett. Jim attended college and earned his CPA license. Jim, his brother, and father all worked for the Boeing company in Everett where Jim became a Lead in the company. Jim’s athletic career began in his early school years with basketball, football and was pitcher for his baseball team. He continued to play softball as a pitcher through college but eventually ended baseball thereafter. Jim had many friends during his lifetime and had had many adventures. He lived a full life and was very much loved and admired for who he was as an individual, friend and family member. Jim will be missed by so many. God bless him and keep him.
