Brittany McGee Brittany Nicole McGee was born on October 13, 1989 to Max and Cynie (Hatch) McGee. Brittany left us to be with our dear Lord on January 26, 2019. She was a Tulalip Tribal member and lived in Tulalip, WA, her whole life. She worked for Tulalip Casino as a Receptionist and also worked for the Tulalip Resort. Brittany was on the election committee for our Tribe for 10 years. Her sons were the joy of her life. She enjoyed cheerleading, going on joy rides with her best friends and listening to their music, loved to take selfies, roller skating, texting friends and family. Brittany liked Snapchat, instagram plus Brittany was a real Jokester, playing pranks on her sister, Megan, like sending her her into the Totem store to ask the clerk if they have any (Blinker fluid) so Meg goes In there and asks and when Megan comes out Brittany is video taping her and just laughing her butt off. Megan was embarrassed and said Brittany your stupid, Brittany said she could not stop laughing about it. Brittany leaves behind her mother and father, Cynie and Max McGee; sisters, Angie (David) Ancheta, Megan (Felipe); brother, Aaron Calloway; her nephew, Kane Hatch; and her sons, Carson and Cullen Enick. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Katherine (Molly) and Donald Hatch Sr., Agnes and Carl McGee; uncle, Larry Hatch; aunts, Evelyn Cross, Donna Muir, Sally Prouty and Barbara Hatch. Rosemary Patricia Boggess, 80, carried the name ye’stad meaning “small rose” in the Lushootseed language. She was born on August 10, 1938 in Croydon, England to George and Alice Beavers. She loved traveling and making arts and crafts with her sister Jean (Mick) Adams. She looked forward to her regula visits with Jean in her homelands of England. Rosemary was sixteen years old when she married her sweetheart Donald Boggess on July 5, 1954. She met Donald in England where he was stationed in the Army and remained married for 42 years. They had two children including the late Britt Boggess and Scott Boggess. Rosemary leaves behind seven grandchildren Jason, Tonya, Jake, Brooke, Donald, Heather and Erik. She was always amazed at the sight of her great grandchildren who brought her so much joy, Preston, Mckynzie, Cameron, Jesse, Angelica, Chance, Charlie, Patience, Skyler, Kayelynn, Myles, Elliot, Maya, Kyle, Shaelyn, Deeanna, Valarie, Nolee, and Erik Jr.

Rosemary and Don made Tulalip their home for many years. Rosemary was well known for her ability to love and care for each person she met, especially children. Her love and passion for children was exemplified when she was at work for the Marysville School District. She worked for the district for over 30 years as a speech pathologist and then as a school nurse. Children and families of Marysville and the Tulalip Tribes knew she had the best interest of their children. She attended sporting events, powwows, art festivals, concerts, fairs, stickgames, sweatlodge ceremonies and anything which connected her to a celebration of life, youth, and culture. She loved the Native American culture and enjoyed beading, crafts, baking, bargain shopping, and listening to Native stories and songs. Rosemary loved “her girls” Pixie Owyen and Nessie Hatch. She adopted additional grandkids Danika, Nate, Diana, Jeramiaha, Francis and Barbara. The Tulalip Tribes adopted her as an honorary Tulalip Tribal member.

Rosemary felt blessed to have so many family and friends who loved her. She would want you to keep going, live life to the fullest, learn new things and never give up.

Helen “Sally” Hazel Hatch-Prouty, 81, passed away January 14, 2019. She was born March 28, 1937 to Donald Hatch Sr. and Katherine Fryberg-Hatch of Tulalip, WA. Sally grew up in Tulalip, on Hermosa Beach, she spent a few years living with her Aunt Iris in Sequim, WA. She moved back to Tulalip and met Wesly and had and raised three children, Diane Charles, Audrey Charles, and Donald Charles. She also had another daughter, Mary Gates whom she blessed Pat and Ada Gates to raise. Sally worked as a cashier at the smokeshop in Tacoma, WA. She worked in the bingo deli for a few years and she also enjoyed bagging candy for the Tulalip Tribes’ Christmas. Sally leaves behind her children along with her brother, Donald Hatch Jr.; sisters, Illene (Chuck) James, Cynie (Max) McGee; 14 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine (Molly) Hatch; father, Donald Hatch Sr.; husband, Wilbur Prouty; her son, Roger Wayne Charles; brother, Larry Hatch; sisters, Evelyn Cross, Donna Muir, and Barbara Hatch; great grandson, Josiah James; and great granddaughter, Kristina Johnson. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, country music, slots, and most of all, her family, especially at Christmas time. Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. A private evening service will be held. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.

Loren Gene Martin, left his family too soon while resting peacefully at home. Born October 6, 1965 to Kathy Craft and Jerry Loyd Martin. Loren was creative and talented, he loved to be around his family, especially his children, making every effort to spend time with those he loved. He loved to tease and trick those he loved. His favorite past time was to WATCH SEAHAWKS FOOTBALL, golf with his buddies, beading, camping, long walks, concerts, eating out and movies. He loved cars, especially his first Trans Am, he got really mad when the girls used nail polish to make it pretty. He worked as a detailer with his friend, Torry Parker over the years and exercised his sovereignty through fishing and forestry. He also worked at the first Tulalip casino as Lot Patrol. We will miss seeing him take his nieces and nephews on outings, skiing, to the Thunderbird drive-in, ECC Pool, bowling, concerts, and other fun events. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Wendy Ann Martin; his father, Jerry Loyd Martin, grandparents, Isabelle and Jack Myers. He leaves behind his amazing children, Maria Martin (Michael Rios), and Nicholas Martin; his mother, Kathy Craft and his brother, Beau Craft; Besties, Terry and Barbara Parker, Barry Hatch, and Cousin Christie Baker. Solomon “Botch” George Spencer Sr., 35 of Tulalip, WA, passed away January 5, 2019. Botch was born February 2, 1983 in Everett, WA, to Vivian Ann Spencer. He completed the Tero Construction class and diving class. He loved working in construction, enjoyed working out and loved being on the water as a diver, crabber and fisherman with his family and friends. Botch loved his wife dearly: loved his mother even more; his sisters; and all of his children. He was a proud father of his first born son and he loved hanging out with his cousins and family. He is survived by his wife, Magdelina Spencer; first born son, Solomon George Spencer Jr. (Aka Baby, Bobo); daughters, Daisha, Eliana, Avaughnei; two step sons, Martyn and Avery Young; his mother, Vivian Spencer; his sister, Tara; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by unborn baby son, Spencer; brother, Antonio Spencer; grandparents, Richard George Spencer Sr. and Mary Johnny Spencer; aunts, Ruthie, Sophie, Rose, Mary, Shirley, Harriet, Velma; and uncles, Steve, Neil, Richard Jr. and Charles. Corey was born in Everett, WA, on a spring day, 43 years ago. His heart was full of love, with a sweet smile and gleam in his eye. He was loved from the moment he was born. As he grew into a young boy he played all sports but enjoyed football the most. Along with playing video games, riding bikes and those little army men, that inevitably always get stepped on. He had many friends and he spent his days making memories. Later in life, Corey was happy to become a dad and was blessed with two beautiful children, Adrian and Jazmen. He loved his children more than they know and was very proud of them. Corey worked at the Tulalip Casino when it first opened and later at the Tulalip’s Pharmacy for many years and really enjoyed being a part of those teams. He was a simple man and took the bus or walked wherever he needed to go. Corey also enjoyed gambling, watching the UFC fights and of course football. Corey was a Raiders fan for life. RAIDER NATION! Everyone who came to know Corey also knew he loved everyone. He spent his latest years with those closest to him, his friends and family. Yolanda, Casey and Roxanne were very special people to him and some of his cousins were his best friends. Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents: Cyrus Hatch, Emily Beatty, Olaf and Marie Morken; his mother, Sharon Morken and nephew, Jaylen Fryberg. He is survived by his dad, Tim; children: Adrian and Jazmen, siblings: Wendy, Jesse and Samantha as well as numerous other family members and friends. June 23, 1962-December 13, 2018 Born June 23, 1962 to William Henry and Patrica Hatch-Henry in Bremerton, WA. He passed away on December 13, 2018 in Tulalip, WA. He went to Tulalip Elementary School and Perpetual Help School. He loved to fish, play baseball, woodcutting, but most of all loved to babysit his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his morning coffee and newspaper. Jimbo is preceded in death by his parents, William and Patrica Henry; and grandparents, John and Dora Henry and Zane and Gwen Hatch; and brother, Andrew Henry. He is survived by his brother, Billy Henry; sister, Gwen Henry; Aunty Weezie Henry; and his special children: Nick, Rheanna, Charles, Vernon, Stahwnee, Julene, Casey, Lisa Mae, Andrew, Nathan, Nicole, Roberta, Jolene, Charlene, Chucky and Cassie. Daniel David Sieminski was born on July 6, 1984, a Friday, in Seattle, WA. He entered into rest on December 8, 2018, a Saturday. Daniel was a gentleman who was loved by all. He was a kind and gentle person with a warm heart. He was a man of deep thought. He may have been quiet but he was one of the most observant people you will ever meet. Daniel graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in 2002. He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Sociology in 2006. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as his fiancée, Amanda and their fur kids, Jesie and Abie. Daniel will be remembered for his ever-present smile. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Doreen Sieminski; sister, Nicole Sieminski; fiancée, Amanda Shelton; grandma, Joyce Sieminski; grandpa, David Spencer Sr. and Katherine Campbell; aunt, Marya and Paul; uncles, David and Joan, Denis and Carol, and David and Nancy; cousins, Alisha and Hema, Dawn Marie, Ruby, Ryley, Thendral, Kavyn, and Suriyan; special cousins, Raphael and Angelo; and numerous other family members. He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Frank Sieminski, grandma, Viola Jones Spencer, and aunts, Janel Spencer and Dawn Shirley Spencer. On Monday, November 26, 2018, Bob passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 92. Bob was born September 28, 1926, the first child of Nickolia and Bessie Swanson of Cicero, WA. Bob attended Arlington High School and joined the Navy in the summer of 1942. He served aboard the LST 808 that took part in the Iwo Jima landing, and the Okinawa landing. On May 14, 1945, the LST 808 was torpedoed by a Japanese aircraft off Ille Shima. Bob achieved the rank of Quarter Master 3(QM3). He was given an honorable discharge, including many awards and medals on July 16, 1946. After Bob’s years of service he went to work in the woods as a logger and did this off and on for years. He also worked in the shingle mills and while learning the saw shingles gave up the ends of several of his fingers. Later Bob became a commercial fisherman and rebuilt two old wrecked boats to make them his fishing vessels. Bob is survived by the love of his life, wife, Sandra. Together they lived an adventurous life for 50 years. They fished in Kodiak, Alaska for 12 years, as well as the Tulalip waters upon their return home. His survivors also include his son, Dale Swanson (Janice); daughter Cindy Swanson (Richard); grand-daughters, Emily Madden (Jarrod) and Phoebe Madden; grandson, Ben Ellis Swanson; and great-granddaughters, Rosemary Carey and Jaidan Anderson; and his youngest brother, Stephen Swanson (Judith). He was preceded in death by his mother and father; two sisters, Wanda and Rosemary; and his brother, Nick. A Memorial Service will be held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A dinner will follow at the Tulalip Tribal Center.
